Hatherleigh Carnival is an historic Devon carnival held annually on the 2nd weekend of November.  Famous for its blazing tar barrels, torchlit procession, marching bands, walking guys and a spectacular parade of tractor pulled carnival tableaux. Established 1903 to fundraise for local healthcare provision (prior to the NHS), this annual November event brings the West Devon community together for a fun-packed weekend of fire, floats and music unlike anything else in the region.
