5.00am –First Run of the Blazing Tar Barrels from Oakfield Road via Market Street, Bridge Street, South Street, High Street, Bridge Street to field adjacent to Island Park.
11.30 am – Town Crier Competition at The Square – Organised and run by our Town Crier, Ros Chard. Over 20 Town Criers from around the country will come to this very popular competition.
11.30 am – Judging of Shop Windows and Decorated Houses.
1:45 pm – Children’s Procession assembles at Claremont and moves through town to the Community Centre for judging and crowning of royalty.
5:45 pm – Carnival Floats assemble in Market Quarter for judgingat 6.00pm PROMPT. Entrants must register floats in Market Office on arrival.
7:00 pm – Royalty Floats leave Market Quarter followed by floats to assemble in Park Road.
7:00 pm – Hatherleigh Silver Band leaves The Square to assemble with other bands in Bridge Street.
7:15 pm – Massed Bands march to assembly point.
7:30 pm – Main Procession moves off via Market Street, Bridge Street, South Street, High Street and Hole Court to Market Quarter.
Second Run of Blazing Tar Barrels from Oakfield Road to field adjacent to Island Park, to follow after the Main Procession has cleared.
Followed by bar and live music in The Square.
