Every year a Queen, a Prince and Princess and a President lead Hatherleigh Carnival through the town. Meet the royal party.
Open a year to meet that year’s Carnival Royalty.
As some of you may know, this is my second time as Carnival Queen. The first time was back in the year 2000. I'd always dreamed of being Carnival Queen, so to have my dreams come true twice really does feel like fate.
I feel being Hatherleigh Carnival Queen again this year contributes to my love for the community spirit in Hatherleigh. I feel I've shown my support for our Community by being a trustee of the Community Centre for many years, and now I am pleased to be an employee.
I also work at the Tally Ho! (yet another position for the second time around!)
Noah and Mabel are very excited to be this year's Prince and Princess. We have lived in Hatherleigh for 11 years and are very proud to be part of the carnival this year. We have taken part in the afternoon children’s procession over the years with varying degrees of success, Noah was Postman Pat at the age of 2 but sadly didn’t make it past Claremont as it all got a bit much.
As part of the Reynolds family, we're proud to have a long history of relatives who have taken part in the carnival over the years. We're very proud to be continuing the tradition and joining in with carnival this year.
I never expected the Honour of becoming President of Hatherleigh Carnival 2026 but now I will actually be part of this amazing, colourful Carnival and intend to enjoy every minute of my duties. Thank you to the hard working Carnival Committee and those who nominated me and thank you to all the volunteers who will be helping on the night.
